Dr Roth My Story Background

Dr Roth's Training and Background

Dr Roth is board-certified in Family Practice in the United States and is a diplomate of the board of family medicine. She has a decade's worth of experience in mental health.

Dr Roth earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Philosophy with a minor in Biology and the Medical sciences from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.  She went on to earn her medical degree (MD) from the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and was awarded with special qualifications in biomedical research, after studying and publishing research in the area of personalized medicine. During medical school Dr Roth worked with NGOs and international governments to establish a partnership between the Cleveland clinic and local governments in Peru which continues to this day to promote global health education exchange.

She went on to study medicine broadly, working both in the clinic and in the hospital with adults, children, women's health, labor and delivery, geriatrics, emergency/urgent care, end of life/hospice care, and of course mental health which was an aspect of all these disciplines. Her goal was to understand the breadth of human experience and be prepared to care for people in all moments and places. She completed her Family Medicine specialty training in 2014.

As part of her own healing journey, Dr Roth moved abroad after her training to experience living in Israel. She worked in many capacities, with diplomats, refugees, expats and locals, directing the clinical reasoning course at Tel Aviv University Medical School and writing about public health for the Times of Israel. Throughout this, she continued to work with patients in the US using telemedicine, specifically focusing on holistic mental health.

In 2021, Dr Roth founded Healis Health / Physicians United along with hundreds of physician colleagues, with the goal of connecting doctors directly with patients and expanding access to care.

Dr Roth is married and the mother of four children. She loves watching her children grow, walking mindfully in nature, foraging, being in close contact with the earth, reading philosophy and psychology, and connecting with cultures and people across the world. She feels most honored to be admitted to the life experiences and private worlds of her patients which she holds sacred.
